I wonder 1 thing: "You can choose from two versions of our software. Google SketchUp is free for anyone, and allows you to build, view and edit 3D models. Google SketchUp Pro adds the ability to share your data with other software, get email technical support, and create professional presentations—both print and digital—from your models. You can download both versions of SketchUp right from this website." http://www.sketchup.com/ Does this mean: I can create images for my commercial enterprise and use SketchUp-Basic, without paying anything? ...If it's enough for me and I don't need features of Pro? Some sites say, for commercial use I have to buy Pro, I can't use basic one for my needs but in SketchUp's web site I didn't see such a warning. Thanks.
Google Sketchup is a free 3d modeling program. Kind of like a cheap version of 3d Studio max ... I think
Google bought sketchup long ago, people in the architectural and mechanical world would knwo this pretty well! http://sketchup.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=36201&topic=9027 Here is the comparison between its available versions Regards

Google's main agenda behind this is that people make models of buildings and places and place them in google earth. with which sketchup is seamlessly integrated. Its just good for visual rendering in architecture (and ofcourse google didnt make it , they bought it from someone)
