Does anyone know or have any experience with Google Sites in Googles searches? Do their spiders like when their name is in the domain? ex: http://sites.google.com/site/mynichesite

I am making some niche sites and before I buy domains, I want to see if this will work.

As of now, I don't think it can help you benefit in Google searches! So far I've seen only blogger, Knol and Google groups ranking in SERP's !

Side with you. I think this is the fundamental fair play for search engines just like you would not get any SEO benefits from your PPC investments except traffics and sales. :) Have a nice day,

Nice thought, but Google doesn't work that way.

It's like Bogs said, you have to work at it, no free rides.

No, it will not work. Google has their algo set up in such a way that only their registered sites or blogs will rank higher.

You will still have to do all the hard work of getting perfect backlinks and a proper SEO.
