Google sitemaps

    When I update my site...is it necesary to always resubmit my sitemap to Google Webmaster tools? or is it just fine with simply updating my sitemap on my server....or do I also always need to resubmit it to google via webmaster tools.

    Also, am I hurting or helping my site by resubmitting the sitemap to google every couple of days whcih is how often I update my site.

    Please advise,

    why not update both. It isn't that much of a hassle.

    I dont think you need to resubmit it, unless you have changed the url of the sitemap. Google will "crawl" again and again.

    As long as you update the sitemap on your server you dont need to resubmit each time, Google will check back often to see if its updated and will show you the new amount of urls included in the sitemap in your Google webmaster tools account

    Yes, thats what you need to do, no need to resubmit sitemap in webmaster tools.
