    I started with Sitemaps only a couple of months ago, and I am sure it works. On the other hand I have over 150,000 pages on my site and until now Google did not index all of them. I do see the number of indexed pages grow slowly, so I assume it is matter of time until Google will crawl all of them. I guess patience is the key here.

    I completely agree. I think the sitemaps are great. Remember Inkomi's "search submit" program. This is even better and it's FREE!!!

    I've had good luck with G Sitemaps. I wish Google had called it something different though. I have to convince clients to use it and it's difficult for them to tell a traditional and Google sitemap apart. The name is a problem. I also with that Google would offer more features in the Google sitemap account.

    Yes,Google site map is also very much helpful for me for indexing my internal linking.I think this is all about rumor or nothing to blame Google.

    Yes ! Google site map is indexing my site pages very fast. I have 500+ pages in my website and almost are indexed in Google.

    Don't place site map link in home page, once you creating site.xml submit to google and url list to yahoo for crawling purpose.

    Hi Infonote ... my opinion is if all your sites are be indexed, that means it will help your SEO, and that means it will help your site rank. I have some pages are not indexed by google, none can find it from search engine for sure ... I have to try sitemap myself soon ...
