Hi all.As i have seen in the webmaster tool it is mentioned to use capital 'S' for the sitemap in the URL,but i have seen that all the URLs have small 's' so please tell me what the matter is actually or is it my mistake. Please check out the webmaster tools help for sitemaps
As you have to submit your sitemap URL to search engines. It really doesn't matter what name you chose.
Sitemap and AdSense has nothing to do. Of course, it's always better having sitemaps in your site. But that won't make a difference in Google accepting your for AdSense.
When I tried to use Vigos Gsitemap I have received the red cross in the status of sitemap.xml in Google webmaster tools. I use WebCEO free edition software for this moment with limiped 100 pages including to sitemap file. But generated sitemap always successfully approved by google. All free online sitemap generators produced sitemap with the same red cross result. I see many of guys use Vigos Gsitemap and happy. Does anybody meet the same problem with Vigos Gsitemap like me? 100 pages too small number for my site
You can use WebCEO applicatin free edition if you need sitemap for number of pages up to 100. Or you can use xml-sitemaps online generator for number of pages uo tp 500. Bought generators allow you to generate sitemap files for google, yahoo and sitemap.html for visitors.

Thanks a lot for truely useful information one more question Recently my sitemap exceeded 50,000 entries how to split it, is an index file necessary or I can just post multiple sitemaps through my webmaster tools? To be precise is it necessary to have sitemap index file
Hello Friend Thanks for the info u have giving about Site map. Can u please tell me about Google ad words.
HI, I had submitted by sitemap to google and later on I changed the file names so I resubmitted the sitemap again. Earlier google had indexed 7 out of 8 pages on my site. But now it has only indexed 1 out of 8 pages. Backlinks section show the old files there though I dont have those files on the server anymore. I changed the names of the files and resubmitted the sitemap but it still showing old files. Where as under Sitemaps it says- verified. Whats wrong with google? If it is verified then they should have the updated links. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks. Rajiv Sharma www.digiplustz.com
I also changed filenames and google indexed only one page firstly. It is changing with time. Just update regularly your content (for instance: news on your main page, google like it) and google will index more and more pages.
Webmasters tools data update is slow. Very slow. And not all data update goes to the same speed. I mean some data is updated more frequently than other. Be patient.
Linking to a sitemap, submitting it into Google Webmaster Tools and getting a backlink from Ezine Articles get's your site indexed in about 3 days, it's well well worth doing!
