Google Sitemap Question

    Hi,

    I submitted my sitemap to Google a couple of days back, its happu with it and shows that its been downloading it each day since. However checking my awstats i see that there has been no Googlebot on the site, is this normal? If you submit a sitemap goes Googlebot still come and visit the site or are the pages spidered a different way?

    The bots will still have to visit to crawl the actuall content of the site..

    how long do you normally see between adding a sitemap and the bots show up? the site is a few months out and has several hundred pages indexed thus far
