I just installed a Google Sitemap (xml) plugin for wordpress, activated it, and ran it. 'Sitemap was successfully created', but when I go to the page (myurl.sitemap.xml) all I see is the code, not a sitemap built for users. Is this sitemap only for search engines, or is there something else I need to do so my site visitors can view a sitemap? Thanks, Kat
Yes, the Sitemap plugin is for Google and not for visitors. Have you tried this plugin for WP? It's recommended and the Search Engines love it aswell as your readers.
Hi DarrenC, Thanks for the great suggestion. I've installed that on my site now, and it works great. I've got another WordPress question, but it's off-topic to this thread, so I'll post elsewhere. Thank you again for your help. Kat, WordPress Newbie
Darren, Thanks for the link to that plugin. Just installed it now and it is working like a charm. All it required was a little styling with CSS to fit with everything else on the site. -mnc
