In the past 2 days, I can't seem to get rid of this error message for a handful of sites...all of which share the same Host Gator hosting. The message is:

    Sitemap errors and warnings
    Line Status Details
Details - Network unreachable: Network unreachable
We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit.

Is there some setting in my cpanel that is preventing Google from accessing my sitemaps? I've tried re-submitting all of the sitemaps several times, i've got my robots.txt setup properly for each site. Any suggestions on how to get rid of this error message once and for all? All of my sites are up and running and are accessible.

I'd start with the host to see if they are aware of the issue. If they're not seeing the issue and you can access the file yourself from any computer I'd drop a note and keep my fingers crossed to Google. Good luck.

    Thanks for the response Promomanagers,

I can access the robots.txt and sitemap.xml files by directly typing it into the url bar. On Google Webmaster tools, when I check the sitemap analyze statistics, it says Status 200 (success). I'm assuming that it's a problem on Google's end...but I don't want to have my site loose any ground in the SERP's because of Google's internal issue.

It seems to have cleared itself up now. Must have just been a Google issue after all. Why do they insist on messing with us like that? :)

Usually if you get a warning in your sitemap it is from setting the priority of each page to 1.0 try using a different xml sitemap generator if it happens in the future

Hey, that's a good tip. I never even thought that it could have been the sitemap generator. Thanks.
