I think no need of changing your sitemap of blogger with sitemap of custom domain.. If any visitor will click your old blogger link in search engine then automatically it will be converted to your custom domain ...

Can't you just resubmit your new sitemap in the webmaster tools?

Perhaps You need to try it:

Don't remove Your sitemap on your old blogspot. With Your Webmaster account just add a site/URL (Your new Domain Custom). And I think when a Search Engine robot discover your old blogspot, it will redirect to Your new custom domain.

    Good luck...

Result will be same. If some links are already existing in google then it will be shown with blogger extension.. Others will get name based on your custom domain..

Whether you update the sitemap and resubmit , or, delete and upload new sitemap, both will have same thing..

I believe there is an option in google webmaster settings where you can re-route your old domain that you have verified to one of your other verified domains. Not sure how long the process takes though?

Its a good practice to submit a sitemap to your blogspot.
Here u have to keep few things in mind. Sitemap for a site is generally used to be static.
for the blogspot u must hav create a dynamic sitemap otherwise u have to create new sitemap after every submission of article into ur blog and resubmit that sitemap into ur blog. Then it'll work fine.

    Thank u
