Hi Everyone I have submit a sitemap to my blogspot and its been indexed... But, I'm going to change my blog to custom blog domain.. Now how to set sitemap to a custom blog domain which is already having a sitemap to blogspot ?? I will be waiting for your replies. Regards, freaky
I think no need of changing your sitemap of blogger with sitemap of custom domain.. If any visitor will click your old blogger link in search engine then automatically it will be converted to your custom domain ...
This basic thing I know.. but, my doubt is that how to get index custom domain name in Google when its already been indexed by sitemap for the blog spot!! ??
Perhaps You need to try it: Don't remove Your sitemap on your old blogspot. With Your Webmaster account just add a site/URL (Your new Domain Custom). And I think when a Search Engine robot discover your old blogspot, it will redirect to Your new custom domain. Good luck...
Result will be same. If some links are already existing in google then it will be shown with blogger extension.. Others will get name based on your custom domain.. Whether you update the sitemap and resubmit , or, delete and upload new sitemap, both will have same thing..
I believe there is an option in google webmaster settings where you can re-route your old domain that you have verified to one of your other verified domains. Not sure how long the process takes though?
I have deleted the old blogspot sitemap And I have Re-submitted the sitemap with the custom domain !! Now what will happen ?? And How will long it will take time to get indexed with Custom Domain ??
I need more replies in this... I have Re-submitted the sitemap with the custom domain !! Now what will happen ??
Its a good practice to submit a sitemap to your blogspot. Here u have to keep few things in mind. Sitemap for a site is generally used to be static. for the blogspot u must hav create a dynamic sitemap otherwise u have to create new sitemap after every submission of article into ur blog and resubmit that sitemap into ur blog. Then it'll work fine. Thank u
