Google sitemap - Commenting

    Just wondering if it's possible to comment a google sitemap. Does anyone know if such a tag exists or what syntax I would use?

    Example:

    // comment

    /* comment */

    <!-- comment -->

    I would assume you could use the XML syntax for comment tags, which would be <!-- comment here -->
