I've noticed that are few candiates for my web site sitelinks as newly named by google. What are the criteria used by Google to show these sitelinks: backlinks, usefulness, search, etc? Some called these web sites authority web sites, but some of them don't seem to have any authority such as new forums and directories. Cheers
Site link are chosen by the Google algo. Google chooses to display the sitelinks because it has decided that the site is the most relevant result for the keyords.
Sitelinks created automatically by an algorithm... they gained some authority trough rankings as far as i know.. the most related to a particular search query.... i believe its based on the link popularity of your pages.
Recently Google have been showing these in Webmaster tools for most sites, it seems, though also, most sites aren't showing them in actual searches. It looks like Google has some sort of plan for them, maybe some sort of update or change in they way they show results that will feature sitelinks more often, that they havn't implemented fully yet.
Ya,be sure that you had the original content, I mean that you would had Good Html codes and good content...
The sitelinks as discussed above, is created by google on its own. We can't have any say on the type of links the google displays. I have been watching the google webmaster tools for a while and suddenly to my surprise, google added some 5 sitelinks for my site. Seems that my site too became an authoritative one (?) LOL
There's a lot of confusion on that. A site isn't an authority because it has sitelinks. Many sites only have sitelinks for their site name.
