Google Site Search Code -- can you modify it?

I know Google prohibits "modifying" their Adsense codes, but what about their site search codes? I don't want to do anything dramatic or drastic, I just want my site URL to show up before the "web" radio button, and for my site's radio button to be highlighted instead of the "web" button. Plus, I don't like the word "web", I want to change it to "www" or something else, and add "search sitename" instead of just having the "sitename" next to the radio button.

Does this qualify as "modifying" Google's codes, you think?

Since the search is part of adsense, I'd think that this would be a no no.

You should email google for this really.

I could, but as everyone knows, waiting for Googs to respond to anything is like watching paint try.

Oh well, I was just curious.

Well why not use a API from Google and ad adsense to your own search script?

You can have your sites radio button checked by default, just select it in the Adsense setup screen before copying the code.

seems too restrictive to me. in any case, i have found site search to produce ridicuolously low earnngs per click...i wonder why i bothered even putting it on my site? (oh yeah i remember now.....i could not be bothered installing my own search script) :)
