Google Shuffle / Update

    For the past week, many of our SERP have been going up and down, primarily down! I was assured by our SEO guy that it was a minor adjustment and would settle down. However, most of our competitors have not been effected, and we have not seen many favorable results in a week.

    For instance, www.cardsshoppe.com was number 1 or 2 for 'baby shower invitations' for the past 6 years. Now it varies from the bottom of the first page to page 2. This is just one example.

    Has anyone else experienced these type movements? Thanks

    It's pretty usual for this to happen close to a Page Rank update by Google, which is due on or around the end of this month. I'd give it another week or two, but if it hasn't settled down again then it could be that you need to build more back links to your site by Do Follow blogging, posting in do follow forums like here at DP and link exchanges with other sites

    I have several site fluctuating No worries I just keep working with build backlinks.

    Yeah i am also facing the same problem by few keywords.

    It can be due to google update is coming.

    I will wait for a week or two before taking any action. It might be temporary who knows...
    Otherwise what we can do than just getting more and more backlinks and maybe updating the content.
