Google showing totally different search results today.

I did my normal routine search of keywords related to my sites today and found totally different search results than usual! Not only that my site was dropped, even the rest of the results looked so much different. Even my competitors site was gone! It was mostly directories and not so related sites that turned up in the results. Can anyone confirm this?

 

I have noticed the same thing with a website which came from nowhere to the top. Why does this happen?

 

Yes, I noticed too. My website traffic dropped dramatic...

must be algo changes... i could also feel the change at certain googel DC's... i think we should be ready for the change......

 

During this change process, Is this possible that a site may come from nowhere to the 1st page?

Well i think that’s the "big update" to give it a name..rather then normal google dance in serps. The update is now over as most of the Seoexperts says in the seochat forums. My website was on page 5 and 6 for my main and most competitive keywords but after the update it has came on 2nd page. i am continuously working with new content pages , submitting articles , adding my website to directories both free and paid and i think my new ranking is all because of this ..... think what you have done for the past 2 months for your website.

this is why I never really bothered with SEO. Everythime this happens all your hardwork goes down the drain.

 

according to what I read that there's a "superspammer" from Romania who's getting "billions" of indexed pages in Google for about 3 weeks and I think this thing has something to do with these "abnormalities"... just an opinion. Sorry, can't post link to source atm because I new to the forums

I have been noticing something with my website for 2 months now that sometime's my site shows up on 5th place and sometimes on 8th and 9th and it happens in every two to three days.

Why is that?

 

Google has been fighting spamindexing and I think that's what the bigdaddy update's all about. It's like a "domino effect" on rankings. Google bans spam pages left and right daily so I think our sites unstableness is the result of this.

 

Maiby there is a new SERP update?!

 

Is there anyone who knows exactly what is going on and why does Google shows different results everytime.
