google showing page cached in hours not days

    Just noticed that google is showing the time of last cache in hours intead of
    days for some pages. Is this a new thing or just something I haven't spotted
    before?

    Yeah its pretty much always been that way for me too...I dont recall ever seeing it listed in days...but who knows, im old and doty :)

    I think I never tried to look at the date/time for cache pages.:D

    Are we talking about the same thing?
    I'm talking about the SERPs, next to where it says "Cached - Similar pages" it
    sometimes used to display the date the page was last crawled

    I can't seem to replicate that anymore.
    but when you do a site: search, pages which have been updated within the
    day are now saying "19 hours ago" (and different times)
