Yahoo for sale in the market last few months. Microsoft has made an offer, but Yahoo turned it down. Think Google should make an offer.

Lend me the money and i'll buy it lol. Why sell something when it's starting to get interesting? Ok so the marketing isn't what it used to be and the ad network is in need of help. But i think yahoo is on the rise soon.

i dont think the gov will allow it, google will have too much power and it will basically become a monopoly boasting 90% of search engine market presence....

Not worth to much all those Yahoos to me. It drives almost no traffic. Who needs a broken car... ;)

Yahoo won't sell... Besides search engine, Yahoo considers itself as media company.

Going on from your analogy, it's not that it drives almost no traffic, you constructed your road so bad it doesn't consider it worthwhile sending any.

Never heard in any business magazines that Yahoo is on the block. Can you reveal the source of information. Infact it had just appointed a new CEO a couple of months back.

No offence but Google control the SE market and if they bought yahoo they'd control too much ;). Another point is that they are doing fine as they are and theres no reason to buy yahoo unless a serious crisis happens at google and they loose a major chunk of the % they control in the se market.

It's not a good idea (for anyone) for one company to control 90% of the search engine market. I want Google to have more competition, not less. Nothing against them really, I just think it's better for internet marketers when there are more choices and more competition.
