in stock it would be worth it sure it seems expensive but the key is growth and audience Facebook has both and would give google a major advantage in terms of social networking . and 8 billion isnt much for google anyway.
I hope not. Cause then FaceBook will get all Google ad's this and that. and before you know it, they start taking out contents like what they're doing on youtube now.

Same here...I use face to face communication, phone, and email to contact people I know. If I don't know them, I'd rather not meet them on facebook or orkut or something. Forums work just fine for me - information + networking
I must admit that face book is the only one i use. I can contact like 2000 people from my uni, i have found a bunch of my mates i went to college with and its easy to post events rather than ringing 50 people before a night out.
Yea facebook will become bigger than myspace given enough time, espeically at the rate facebook is growing it shouldn't take longer than a few years.
$8 billion seems a lot more than Facebook is worth. Is this a potential buy, or just something to think about?
I would not be surprised if google offered between 5-10 billion for facebook If I ran facebook I wouldn't sell for less than 6 billion dollars
big advertisers spending million onf bookface this is gonna be huge If bookface goes IPo it would have a valuation exceeding 16 billion and go up 800% on its first day
you never know, if facebook get more popular over months, google wil buy for sure.. google can buy anything man.
Um but no one uses orkurt. It is ranked at the very bottom of the list of social networking traffic while facebook is number two.
