Google should ban themselfs?

I heard that they earn 5 pounds per click for putting criminal sites on search sponsors.

They must be knowing that, but why would they if they earn very good from that. England police find out that - loads of people there has been tricked when buying gifts from those sites.. There are 100 sites like that, and google has earned from it million pounds until now.

What to say.. bravo, and some people are banned because of nothing.

How can you say Google must ban themselves? It's not the problem of Google those sites are scams. It's almost impossible to manually check if theses sites are scam or not. They do have an ad approval in place which will reject most of the spam and scams. But there is no way for Google to know if you have an e commerce store and whether you will deliver the contents/products or not.

I would say the best thing to do is always go with the organic results. Also if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. So a search for <insert product/ company name here> review would give some reviews about the site. Also

    1. Check their privacy policy, TOS etc
    2. What are their refund policies?
    3. How long have they been in business?
    4. What about customer support? How much time do they take to respond to your questions?

They know these sites are now scams, why dont they ban them? 5 pounds bro, it's like $10 per click
and they put it on their search bar, not on sites which are related, why - because this money goes only to them

If Google comes to know of such sites they will surely ban the ad (Not sure if they will ban the site). Can you spot one example of a site which Google knows is a scam but still is shown up in search results as sponsored listings?

It does not mean Google must know if the UK police knows. Unless they receive any complaints Google or any such company will not take action.

It's not Google's business to find and eliminate scams.

In fact it is to some extent. if Google need's to keep people hooked to their service they must ensure that what they provide is worthy. It's all about survival of the fittest. Although it is not possible to do this 100% Google is certainly taking the steps with ad approval policy

It is their business, if you get spammy backlinks then Google blacklist you. SO it is similar for Google here.

Legally they are not responsible. But ethically they are. There is nothing we can do. even if Google bans a site, they will start a new one in a new name. its very easy these days. So whats the use? The best thing is the user take care

They do take action and rather very quickly. Also they have an internal quality rating policy which is automated. I have seen my ads getting stopped automatically even though they were no scams. Nothing can beat manual review....

I guess they do have manual review, but on a superficial basis. I dont think they look into too much detail. Maybe they just check if it complies with their policies
