Google SERPs penaltys don't apply in Froogle

    Hi,

One of my sites does very well in Froogle for all terms (its 100% white-hat) but in Google it does poor. I have a penalty in Google - arghh from over a year ago!

So what this leads me to think is any penalties given by Google aren't used in Froogle... Maybe I am well off but its one of the only reasons I can think why I do well in F and not G!

    Cheers

Or maybe you don't have enough links to qualify for good Google rankings.

No we have over 2,500 links (shown in live.com). Many high profile organic links including one way organic links from major auth sites inc guardian.co.uk and also bbc.co.uk!! Site is PR7, got dmoz, yahoo blah blah... So annoying...

Yes I have filed a reinclusion and they said along the lines of "your site doesn't comply with the webmaster guidelines fix problems and come back" Arghh!

I have checked everything and it can be only 1 thing... When I do "link:" in Google it still shows links from 6 months ago when I foolishly tried LV.... Still some dodgy hotel links.. When I follow the links my site isn't there and hasn't been for 6 months... (I was only on it for 1 month before I left) When do google update there link cache?!

Anyway rant over... If anyone can lend any advice I would appreciate it!!

How many links do you have from LV? I don't think this would give you a penalty. Why not ask them to confirm if it is the LV links that have caused it. If so it would be pretty major news IMO.

I'm 95% sure LV causes a penalty, I did some tests on a few different sites. I did ask but they said they can't say... :(
