Google SERP's going crazy! Is this a algo and PR update?

My sites rankings have dropped big time for many keywords.

This begun last week.

Anyone else having the same problem with Google or know what is causing this?

Not me, it is pretty steady. may be they have penalised for something. Any blackhat SEO techniques used?

you have dropped for good or you are experimenting some ranking fluctuations?, if that is the case dont worry many webmasters are experimenting the same thing.

 

I could notice the change in my backlinks. But for most of my competitors backlinks haven't changed. Is really something happening at Big G's home?

I only added about 30 unique page links to the footer for SEO.

Could this have done it?

 

after an awesome record breaking March, April 1st, google traffic died for a couple days, then shot back up after 1 week for 3 days, then died again and stayed dead. I was getting like 2000 uniques/day last month, this month looking more like 200/day if I'm lucky. Traffic is bouncing all over. There's also a big discussion on this at ww. Seems lots are suffering the exact same issue.

 

What is blackhat seo technique?

For the last week, it's been like shooting into outer space and falling back into the depths of the ocean. The serps are just all over the place. I'd sure like to know what the heck is going on.

 

30 is too much...you are passing the pagerank to them and prolly a good vote against you if those sites are not in terms with google.

 

A reason I can think about:
G update BackLinks almost everyday this month.
Other websites' Backlinks changes may also affect your site.
Of course SERP results will be changed all the time.

I use the secret tool to keep my back links history records.
I do see my site backlinks and SERP change very often this month too.

 

There seems to be more -30 or fourth page penalties handed out of late, like this one:

It's like SEO Hacking, to explain it in simple terms. It's good you don't know what it is, you should keep it that way

 

There's no problem with my ranking. Sometimes I experience big fluctuation but comeback again the next day.

 

I had same "problem" some tine ago. It got back in a week. You have nothing to worry about.

 

May be G try to delete some old and duplicate sites.

 

as many of us know that google is updating pr's so probably its some or the other reason.

I haven't had any problems with mine, if not more traffic than usual.
However it has happened to me before, and was very irritating.
