SERP getting changed frequently so no need to surprise. But you directly moved to 5th pages from 1st page so it may be Google Dance. If it's so than you'll be back at First page very soon.

Search engine rankings aren't like PageRank, they don't have huge shifts in certain timescales.

The main thing when it comes to dropped rankings is that either your competition have stepped up their game and are looking to leave you for dead or Google has seen something that they don't like on your site and are showing you their wrath!

I wouldn't panic though unless it has been like that for about a week, could just be a Google dance that we all get caught up in once in a while.

Most likely this is temporary. It happens all the time to individual websites. Don't worry. It normally lasts less than one week. If it is 2 weeks or more, then it is time to dig deeper.

I agree with 'longcall911'. The only change recently happened was 'Google Instant'. As per my observations Instant is amazingly fast but doesn't change any SERP's.

I haven't notice any major change in SERPs, so it must be to do with your domain, hope it will recover.

Completely agree with it. There are chances that competitor of yours had genereated a good traffic and good backlink. Concentrate on generating good backlink.
