Yeah there was a SERP update I believe... but then again, they update serp quite dynamically almost everyday these days.
Everyone notice a drop in rankings? That's simply not possible! Someone got a better SERP, I'm sure about that
I track 64 keywords in Google. At least half of them change in the SERPs every single day. That is SOP (standard operating procedure) for Google. They are constantly updating SERPs. There is absolutely nothing abnormal about that.
It might have to do with this rumor of blogspot links dropping in value, which would make sense, with these recent jumps of "Fake Blogs to increase Backlinks" and also the people offering like 1000 backlinks across 250 blogs.. Together they have dropped all outgoing link values of blogspot blogs. Thats is just a rumor, but i believe it was a smart move on google's behalf.
But wont that lead to a sort of web chaos? I mean one day you have on site on top for a keyword, next day it disappears from the first 10 pages! Updating SERPS to keep spammers at bay is good but some sort of stability should be there. What do you think?
That kind of SERPs changes (going from the top to off the 1st ten pages) are not normal. What I see every day is modest SERPs changes, a few points up or down, occasionally ten positions or so, more rarely several pages. That is pretty normal for Google. And the "web chaos" you refer to would be only in the eyes of webmasters. Most people using Google don't have a clue about the technical side of things. They just do a Google search and use what comes up.
Yeah, I too noticed there was a big SERP update since about yesterday. Seems to be getting back to normal (somewhat) now...
I will agreed with you, Now Google is updating more algorithms in their database to improve more quality in every day. Thanks John
SERP is like change daily or frequently. since its depend. thus so we haven't much more concern about the same
