I have a 4 month old website but launched about a week ago. I have no back links but plenty of content. My question is this. How long does it take for Google to stabilize. My main keyword a very competitive one started at the 12th page and this lasted for 2 days in what was probably the "google honeymoon" then it dropped to 16 then to 30 then to 44 then disappeared. I did some SEO + lowered Keyword density and the site reappeared at page 36 (which made me happy), now all of a sudden it is gone again, along with other keywords. Could this be the sandbox thingie. The weird thing is my pages appear and disappear. So it is very erratic. Keywords appearing in the SERP and disappearing and this makes me paranoid because i am posting about three articles a day. And when that happens i can't help but think that it is my fault. Sorry for the long post and to make things clearer here are my questions: 1. How long does it take google to stalize my SERP 2. How quickly does Google alter your SERP after you changed content and SEO
1. Till you got 9 PR and hundreds of pages. as no one can guarantee a stabilization. 2. depend upon how many times google crawled your page
It can be anything up to 6 months some people say... but i have found they will stabalise after about 3-4 months. Dont build too many backlinks with the same keyword, vary the anchor txt, try and make sure they are high PR links and you should be fine.
Maybe try posting less articles in one day? Could help to make it more stable, then you could analyze if a new article improved your listings
I've been submitting articles manually lately and i haven't really noticed it bumping up my ranking in the SERPs at all. Does google do a "giant refresh" for rankings or is it real time? If it were real time, perhaps that would explain the erratic rankings, but I'm not too sure why my ranking doesn' really change no matter how hard I try.
