Google SERP algorithm update?

Hi all,
There happened a Google PR update recently. I think Google also updated the SERP algorithm. My site's serp for spesific search phrases suddenly dropped down to 3rd and 4th pages from the 1st page yesterday. My other pages are now almost disappeared ( 15th, 20th of serp). My home page was pr6 and it is still pr6. But my sub-pages get down to pr4 from pr5. I checked and nearly all of the pages of my site are still indexed by Google.
Did anyone observed similar things for his/her site?
Does anyone think Google's Serp algorithm changed recently?
or i got Google penalty?
Any predictions?

Had the same thing happened for two of my sites. Still holds the same spot for some search phrases but for most I got dropped from pages 1 or 2 to pages 10 to 15.

 

Like your sites, some less important phrases hold their slot, but important keywords went down
I red some articles and topics in several forum sites about sudden traffic decrease from Google. Some people say "Do not panic and wait for several days with out doing significant changes, updates or facelift to your site." "Be patient and observe your traffic (site statistics) for several days and your Google traffic may turn to normal".
They may be right.
I wonder is there a "Google serp algorithm update" happening nowadays?

I have waited 10-12 days already with no change other than dropping even further for all phrases that matters.

 

i believe your problems are related with page rank update. G has updated page rank but it did not send the resuls to the dc and when i check my pagerank different datacenters are showing diffrent results

 

Pagerank on one of my affected sites remain the same. It's PR5 now, seems to stay at 5. It's predicted 6+ if you use a not-so-accurate pagerank estimator.

My other affected site climbed from PR2 to PR4.

 

I wish you are right. Because it took too much time for my site to come to the 1st page of SERP for some important phrases and has been showing a good trend to the top 3 spots. But seeing my site on the 4th page is very disappointing
My site's visitors coming from Google decreased to 1/10

 

I have seen this as well - getting dropped for some words around the 1st then they came back on the 12th and I lost them again yesterday. I dont know what to make of it - hopefully it will come back shortly.

 

same here-
I noticed that all of my competitors dropped also. Now the top 10 is almost completely informational (no commerce sites). Even the ebay listings which are normally top 5 dropped out. Must be trying to squeeze some adsense money out of us.

I still have good rankings in google.

 

A sudden decrease in traffic and serp's rankings happend for one of my site almost 1 month ago.From 3000 unique visitors / day to 300 / day. I have waited for 1 month now and i can't see any improvement...

 

My rankning in SERP usually shakes when the PR update is in progress but returns to usuall or increase afterwards.

 

Strangly, yesterday my site dropped from google for my main key phrase. The weird thing is that at the same time, when i search from home using remote control software, i still get number 4 (which is what i have been on for a while now). Also, when i check all the datacenters, they all report position 4 so i have no idea why google.com from work is nor showing the site at all in the SERPS.

 

Same for me, during last January PR update my SERP positions were going up and down for almost two weeks. The same is happening now, they went yo-yo 5 times already.

 

The SERP algorithm update is happening during which SERPs behave this way. Sooner or later everyone is affected.

 

I also noticed Same keywords for SERP up and down changes very often.

 

I think google was testing new algo last few weeks so the SERPs always not stable. so they might implemented it soon. be prepared!!

 

Implementation looks pretty finished and permanent in my case

I just got dropped 100 or so spots and my sites have been staying there or lower since.
