Could anyone make a checklist before submitting to google and what to do after you submit your site?

Just submit when you think your site is complete.

After submission, build backlinks and add new content

 

You should not submit to Google. It's useless.
Just build a few backlinks and you will get indexed in no time. A lot faster than just submitting to Google.

 

Build backlinks and also use webmasters tools instead

 

Google provides guildlines for webmasters.

 

google will index your site automatically... that is the beauty of it... as long as you got a couple links to your site it will be shown in results in next update

 

to add to toher comments, its the same for other search engines as well, i never submitted to yahoo, msn, ask or anyothers but they've indexed me. Heck google indexed me before my site was ready to be online -.-

 

i think its better if you make links to directories,blogs and web sites and then submit to google because then you get indexed faster

 

Submitting your site to Google is entirely useless.

Concentrate on getting links instead - much more useful.

 

after google indexed your pages, do not change something about them.create new pages, but do not delete the older ones.

 

I don't submit my site to google or any search engine I let them find my site and crawl. I just get one way link from site that is frequently updated with content.

 

Read this guidelines it will be beneficial to decide you your site is ready to submit or not.

 

Prepare .xml sitemap containing all internal links of your website, and than go to Google webmaster tools and submit your sitemap.

 

You can also try my method to get higher ranking

 

create a functional website, fulled with content, good inner linking structure and navigation. and once your website is ready create a sitemap files and get some starting links to get indexed.

DON'T SUBMIT YOUR SITE TO GOOGLE! all you need is few backlinks to get indexed.

 

There is no real use of submitting a website on Google..
The best idea will be adding more content and getting quality links from various resources like blogs, forums, directories, groups, social websites

 

Submit your site as soon as you can and then begin building backlinks.

focus on your subject and copleat the site in all aspects and then submit it to adsense. after this promot the site through all means like seo and dir/ submitions.

 

what do you mean by submitting your site to google?
literally submitting your site to SE's or submitting site using the webmaster tools to be tracked?

IMHO like anyone else here, DO NOT SUBMIT your site to SE's
let them crawl your site..SEO needs lot of patience

anyway want to share my checklist before making our site live and adding it up to webmaster tools and site explorer

1. Title tag - it should be keyword-rich and preferably 66 characters or less
2. Meta description - same with the title tag, keyword-rich, must be consistent with title tag.preferably 150 characters or less
3. Meta keywords - not all used this but it wouldnt hurt my site right? i still believe some SE's are still using this one keyword-rich,must be consistent with title tag and meta description,preferably 150 characters or less, preferably 10 keywords or less
4. URL - domain and sub-domains must contain keyword
5. Header tag (h1)
6. content. always remember CONTENT IS KING! -300-500 words, keyword density (keyword/total number of words): 5-7%. use of bold fonts on keywords
7. Internal links
8. Image alt tag
9. Site map
10. Robots.txt

after that, create blogs and do your link building campaign! and that should be it
