    Higher PR = higher payout in terms of advertising. That's what's important!

    Yeah, as I say higher PR = higher PR for your link partners and higher PR for their link partners etc..

    With a higher PR you can ask for more money from your advertisers. That's why I like PR. All else being equal if you ever come to sell your site, you'll get more for a high PR site than for a low one.

    Not just that, but the payout from Google Adsense is defined in part by your PR.

    I don't think so, in fact I read somewhere that PR has no influence on your adsense earnings, but I'd love to see some other senior member's comment on this..

    PR5 -> PR4
    PR0 -> PR4
    Verrry disappointing things.

    It can't be a factor. Its solely dependent on what advertisers are spending and I bet how well the term converts or possibly how well your site converts for advertisers is taken into account as well.

    I thought so too, thanks.

    I think your click through rate has something to do with the earnings too ;)

    eh? why would it? more clicks means more money? my clicks can range from 500 to 1500 in a day and I see the same avg payout either way.

    I have seen many theories about other factors including the one dxeo is hinting at where CTR may affect commision rate.

    There are many many theories around about what exactly effects the CPC.
    Personally, I that CTR does play a part. G know what the average CTR for a site is. It is my theory that if your CTR goes a certain % above this average then they lower the CTC.
    The longer your site remains at the new higher CTR, the more your average increases until you dip below the threshold again and your CTC rises again.
    This seems to fit with what I see on my sites, but who (other than Google) can say if it's correct.

    Expertu, that's what most of us on this thread have been complaining about.
    I'm finally creeping back up on more KWs from the 700's now in the 60's and 70's .

    Caryl, is there a problem with the McDar KW tool? I am trying to get results for my site but get a competitor in the "Your site" part. But when I hover over the Pages/ Links/ PR, I get one of my internal pages.

    I'm seeing very slight recoveries - only one or two places. Most keywords are still sat at 700+
