well gollie gee, I just got myself a google spider on the site finally for the first time in a couple weeks that I have seen.

Hopefully, if this is a data loss situation, as someone mentioned, these little bots will find it all and put it back into its proper place.:)

At the risk of once again stating the bloody obvious, the Google Dance no longer exists.

One more point: I don't believe this has anything to do with:

    1. the Coop
    2. reciprocal links
    3. consistent or inconsistent anchor text

I don't know yet. I think part of the problem is that you are watching a work in progress -- it's like watching a writer typing something and you think you see where that sentence is going and then he backspaces and erases a chunk of stuff and writes a different sentence entirely.

I do know what it's not, though, including the three I listed, because you can take any one of those factors and find sites that dropped, rose, or remained static for each.

ahhhh another update and no real concrete proof of any factors that might have caused rankings change

just total bewilderment and and general dismay, what need is some clever marketers to come in with some really dubious and self serving "answers"

Then we will know the update is complete

Oh lordy, yes I have. I've left this thread open on my browser for serveral days now and just refresh it every few hours. However, I don't have everyone's replies and thoughts memorized. If I've asked something that has already been covered, please forgive. Of course, as Minstrel points out, this is an update still in development, so I expect peoples thoughts and theories will evolve and change. Don't see the harm in checking in with someone's current thinking.

Looks like google is ranking your main page nicely for 'sell text links', and your pr5-links.htm page well for the phrase 'buy pr5 text links' (new results), rather than your main page (old results).
    ...if you are jumping up.

Good stuff, but it ain't over by any means. Just let it ride. You should come out better, but these results are likely to change. It is a validation of your hard work, but there are likely some sites missing from those serps.

    Hello emil2k,

When you type www.google.com into your browser window, www.google.com redirects you, behind the scenes, to www.google.akadns.net. It is at this latter location that you are then routed to the Datacenter/IP Address that is both close to you in proximity (area of the Country) and experiencing lower traffic at that time.

The tool you are using searches several different datacenters all at one time so you can see where your site is listed on each.

During Google Updates or Google Events it is not uncommon to see a wide range of placement across the datacenters. (as you are experiencing now).

Your results look hopeful! But don't be surprised if things keep changing. They most likely will do so until this Event is resolved/concluded.

You can read more about datacenters here...

    About Google Datacenters

    Caryl

PS. - An easy way to tell which datacenter Google routed your current search to is to just "mouse-over" the "cached" link of any of the returned results. When you do this look at the lower left corner of your browser window. You will see the Google IP address in the first part of the url.

    example: http:// 216.239.57.99/search?...

Thanks :) I understand this much better now...By the way McDar thats very nice tool..

But I have a question it's showing that my pr is still 0 in all datacenters and this is highly improbable i just want to know has there been a PR update, cause I dont see it but sense Ive never seen one i would nt really know....

No signs of any PR update here yet, anyone else? Sure if there was it'd be reported already.

No. No PR update yet, as far as I know. And there may not be one for a while.
