Has anyone else apart from roman1 seen their keywords rocket upwards?

I have been using coop to point weight on another site, it's been off for a few weeks though.

    Only thing else I have is a 301 from www.mydomain.tld to mydomain.tld.

No rankings regained for my site btw.

Do you consider the co-op to be unsavory linking?

The page I am referring to is the page that has been reported on for over a year in this thread...

A nice tool that Shawn didn't write -- hard to believe.

Don't want to get into this debate! Replace unsavory with automated.

I beleive this to be a recepical link penality, because all of my websites that I use digital point on, have all dropped off the map. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

My most affected site didn't use the Coop nor did it use recips. It was 100% natural linking.

It was also established (2+ years old) and up until this change of events was rock solid.

I have decided to just ignore it for a while to see if it reverses.

I'll echo that, I'm certainly going to sit tight and see what happens.

I believe there is still more to come and if it is a recipricol link penalty then I can see a lot of people dropping many pages from their sites lol.

I reckon this will just be Google shuffling things around for it's update.

Its also easy to suggest its the Coop. 95% of the people here use it for their sites so its hardly a good test if a lot of people post saying their Coop sites were affected.

My site is not in coop, and only had 1 recip link. All other links are one way inbound, including dmoz.

Site is two months old, and has ranked very well for two months. Don't know if its because of that single recip link I added after the two months or not, but just to be safe, I removed it. :)

    I'll ask this again,

Has anyone noticed their keywords positions go up apart from roman1?

It is obvious that something is going on at Google and many sites are effected.

I would highly recommend that folks should wait to see how this settles out before making any major changes to your sites.

Previous Google Events of this nature saw pages/results returning to normal once Google resolved it's issues.

Maybe Google dropped DMOZ link value from the formula.

This morning - all of my remaining top 10 keywords have completely vanished. Out of approx 80 KW that I check, ALL but two are N/A. The other two -obsucre barely searched phrases - have gone from #1 to #20. My unique visitors have dropped by about 30% on Saturday, 40% Sunday.

I don't use Co-op, I've never got into DMOZ, so that's not the reason for me.

I tend to agree that it's just a pre-update jiggle - I saw a similar thing for a few words just before that last update - although I don't have the experience of y'all so *shrug* dunno. Just seeing ALL my KW vanish made me a bit weak at the knees this time round!

    TheMetalPeddler and all,

I too am seeing massive drops today. KWs going from 4th and 22nd positions down to 787th or not in google at all. Traffic has pretty much halted for the moment. =) Very odd, I think something must be coming, I haven't really changed anything that would cause a drop like that.

If all this blows over and my rankings come back from the abyss I'll be happy. If nothing else it's prompted me to generate new content for some other older domains I have. So that if this happens again, hopefully all of them won't be Google Zapped at once.

My site has bombd right out to nowhere land for terms it has sat at top 10 for ages. In a search for my company by name, the DMOZ ttile of 'umbrella consultancy' is all that is showing. Although the cache google shows holds my actual page title. Ho Hum, good job my business doesn't come from my web rankings isn't it :D

A couple of phrases have gone up, but nothing like the losses. I am not in any networks, or link exchange programmes, as I don't promote my site for rankings.
