Google Searches VS Yahoo/Overture AND Google CTR on google.com SERPS

Discussion in 'Google' started by xml, Sep 2, 2004.

    Hi,

Does anyone know what kind of ratio google searches are to overture stats?

    E.g. is it 1:1, 1.5:1

My guess is google has more searches?

    Also,

What would you guestimate the CTR of the ads on google serps are? (the ones at the top and far right). I'm asking this because google tools such as the one mentioned: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2767 would be much more useful if a CTR % was known.

    Cheers

The ratio is going to be completely different based on the search terms.

How about the CTR on google serps? Again this will cetainly vary depending on the query, but would you say on average its around 5.0%?

The ratio is currently around 3.5:1 in the UK. And YSM is deteriorating by the day.

Would guess US ratio is nearer 1.5:1.
