Hi everyone, I need some help here, basically if I wanted to sell something to the UK market and got a .co.uk domain, would my searches come back before the US domains, let me try and example... I found a good profitable 'exact' keyword phrase "white shoes" and I started to make a full optimized website affiliating from a clothes store and got the domain white-shoes.co.uk or whiteshoes.co.uk and sold them products with £ currency Would my searches come back before the US websites came back, just say if there were a US store www.whiteshoes.com? or amazon.com/whiteshoes? and would it be best to use a dash in the domain keyword or just leaving it as whiteshoes.co.uk all as one word? which works better in google search terms? Thank you
whiteshoes.co.uk is the best choice if you're going to sell white shoes in the UK. For the US market I would suggest you to use a .com domain though.
cheers Zexy So, if i purchased the domain www.whiteshoes.co.uk and there was an American website selling white shoes and there domain was let says www.americanshoes.com/whiteshoes and there company was a big retail then if people in the UK did a search on google for white shoes, would my site be on top of theres in results?
I am no SEO expert but my guess is yes With a co.uk and your keywords in the domain it should be a lot easier I know some one who has a site with an irish cctld (.ie) The domain is two keys words that return 13m results She has 2 backlinks and PR of 0 knows nothing about SEO but is on the first page for keywords ( no.9) I am hoping to attempt this with a Austrian website
