If I enter my main keywords in Google seacrh, I don't think my site even shows up, but when I add the quote "" marks. My site is on page 13 and the search volume goes down. can anyone tell me why that happens, is it good or bad, or irrelevant? I read somehwere it has to do with exact word search but can't find the reference now. Thank you Ruben
When you include the quotes, you are only viewing results that have that entire phrase included somewhere in that site's content or backlinks. When you don't include the quotes, it also shows results that may not have that exact phrase, but they have some of the individual keywords in their content or backlinks. It is bad if your website only shows up for the quoted search. This means that you have very poor rankings. You need to build a lot more backlinks for your website to get better rankings.
thanks for the info, my site is only a few weeks old so even showing up for that is somewhat good I guess. I just started working on backlinks so we'll see what happens. I also noticed it went from 17 to 13 today, hey just a grain of hope I guess lol again thanks for the info
As vansterdam said, But not only the content and backlinks but also in the title of the website. you should concentrate on your keyphrase and long tail keywords in your page title.

ok cheers. But we can do with less backlinks also lol If the competition is less than or equals to 500,000 we can get the results with less concentration of backlinks.
