is it OK to put the google search bar on your homepage?

if someone has set their homepage as YOUR SITE... and proceeds to search google all day, aren't you going to end up with a lot of clicks from the same IP?

    suggestions required

By Google Search Bar, do you mean the Google toolbar? Or just a Google search form? Either way, I don't know anything that would prevent you from doing this. I run a search engine on my Website and lots of people set it as their homepage and I get lots of clicks.

If there are too many clicks from same IP Google would consider them as Invalid... I dont get many searches from the Search Box on my site...but sometimes people search for 1 term and then go on to click all the ads...I get credit for 1-2 clicks only.

Well that doesnt seem fair. I wonder if google takes the advertisers money or just doesnt charge them at all

that was kinda my question

i just went ahead and put it there anyway > free local advertising :)
I may actually have to email the big 'G' and ask them, as it is somewhat concerning...imagine how many searches you might not get paid for, and that's if they don't ban you first. I wish they could make things clearer, or be more approachable.
    kinda sounds like DMOZ ;)
