    the only problem is that most recipes are quite the same and the site might have a hard time ranking especially now that quality content and not duplicate contents are being prioritized by google for a better ranking.

    In earlier years, Google prided itself on being the only site whose objective was to get visitors OFF of their site and onto a third party site (one of the sites in the search results.)

    These days, their focus seems to be mostly to keep people ON google itself. That's why you have Knowledge Graph, etc. I guess they must have figured out this change helps their Adwords revenues significantly.
