Hi. Just very new to Google Cost per Click. I am getting good clicks but little in the way in ROI. I had turned off Google Content but just noticed I was still on Google Search Network. My CPC is very Irish based. My question is if Google Search Network is any good in my case & can I tell how many clicks are based on search network out of my daily total. I had Presumed my google avg pos was based just on Google keywords on www.google.ie. I was looking at 1 keyword avg pos at 1.2 but when I check www.google.ie it is down in 10-15th place. Sorry if this question is very basic but I have not found Google any help on this.

your question is all over the place! But I think I can understand some of what you're asking:

My question is if Google Search Network is any good in my case

Answer: I have no idea what your website is, so how can I figure that out? As a general rule of thumb, I turn search network off, since the other search engines are not as accurate in targetting your preferred audience.

can I tell how many clicks are based on search network out of my daily total

You will have to use a third party click tracker. Statcounter is free and can tell you which search engines visitors are coming through. "Google Analytics" will do the same and can break it down on a daily basis too.

I had Presumed my google avg pos was based just on Google keywords on www.google.ie. I was looking at 1 keyword avg pos at 1.2 but when I check www.google.ie it is down in 10-15th place

The "avg position" stats are based on all search engines that you allow google to show your advert.

There are lots of reasons why you appeared 10th on your own personal search.

*perhaps ireland is more competitive than other regions for your keyword. So you end up having an overall average of "first rank" for all search engines, but a poor rank for ireland only.

*More competitors have just entered the market, driving you down the ranks.

*Initially you had a great position whilst google tested your CTR, however after running your advert for a while, it realised your CTR was poor compared to other advertisers and thus has decided to move you down. Your average position shows 1.2 but overtime new records would lower that average.

And I'm sure there's a lot more reasons. It may be difficult to pinpoint the exact cause. Feel free to ask more questions.

Don't forget, when you opt out of content network you must scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Save Changes" otherwise the change WILL NOT take effect
