Hey guys, Over a month ago, I launched my blog located at http://lose-extra-pounds.blogspot.com and I did everything to get a higher page rank on Google. The thing is that Google hasn't even indexed my website! So far, I didn't do much SEO because I mostly worked on the content of the website. However, during the recent days, I added the Meta tags, I manually submitted my website to Google, I did a little article marketing (the articles have yet to be approved by ezines), I submitted my site to link directories, I just wrote a short press release. What worries me is that it hasn't even been indexed yet! The reason why I started to run this blog is because of Adsense. I am new to Adsense, I have added it on the blog and have received less than 300 impressions. Out of them, I had 1 click worth 27 cents. It's that 27 cents that encouraged me to go through all this mess to get a better page ranking on Google, so any SEO tip from you guys would me very welcome, as I am quite new to SEO! Thanks guys very much!
Hi, I checked this on a website, this is what it told me: User-agent: Mediapartners-Google Disallow: User-agent: * Disallow: /search Not sure what to do next, but it says disallow, that's not good, is it?
Stop worrying about that and worry about traffic for a start. As far as I am aware that should only stop your /search folder from being indexed. You might just need to give it more time and wait. I cant see anything on the website you have listed that would prevent it from being indexed. If you keep building links, you will at least end up with a more complete picture of why you are not being indexed.
Just give Google some more time. When leaving Google alone, keep building backlinks from other places such as blogs with the "latest comments"-widget turned on. By leaving a few blog comments your website will get indexed. Oh, one more thing: content. Your site has so little content that Google probably doesn't find a reason to index your site. It looks like a spam-blog to me!
Sadly I have seen one-page websites ranking on google. Google seems to go by page more than site, though lots of content is a factor it is not the only one by a long shot. Bear in mind that weight loss is a very competitive niche as well.
Get some back links pointing to your site and you really should add more content to the site. That niche is so over saturated so you have your work cut out for you. As a test, make another blogspot site with a totally different name/niche and see how fast you get it indexed using the same methods you used for your weight loss site.
Dear, Give it some time ... It's good that you are updating your blog .... When you do blog post then submit this post into good bookmarking directories with same login id. Also submit your blog into search engines. Your robot file is absolutely correct as it has stopped the search results of being indexed. Start article submission, and forum posting for good backlinks and traffic. You will definitely get results with in 1-2 months.
First of all, welcome to blogging! You are having the same phobia just like other newbies introduced to the world of blogging with the goal to earn decent money from adsense. Well, trust me that you won't even bother adsense income once your blog manage to get good ranking and traffic because your private advertising income will be far more than adsense earnings. Now, what you should do is get a domain. Stop using blogspot if you are serious in blogging and plans to earn some money. Your blog is your property. Having a blog under blogspot umbrella, would not add any value for your effort. If you have your own brand name or blog name with .com, then you are adding value to it with you contents, backlinks, revenues, readerships, etc. If you can mange to earn $1k/month from your blog within first 2 years of blogging, you can sell this blog at 10x of your monthly income, that is $10k. Now, that is what I call a positive investment towards blogging. It is too early to think about earnings for a 1 month blog. Some probloggers even waited for nearly a year to monetize their site. Build your readership first with great contents. You will see the results after first page rank update. Usually, Google update page rank within 3-4 months once. So, give your blog some time to earn some decent page rank. If you want to increase page rank, you should get high PR dofollow backlinks. Get it from forum posting, guest post, link exchanges, etc. Only dofollow backlink from high PR sites or pages will help your site increase page rank.
i have gone through your blog and think that it has been indexed. Do yo mean that google takes long time to index your blog?? Secondly one more thing that i found was that your blog as numerous of ads rather text.Yo have very few lines of text and all the post are irrelevant to each other.
Thanks, I will definitely work on that! That's a good idea actually, I will try that out, thanks! Thanks, I have already started to do article marketing, I have submitted my blog to various search engines, including Google! Thank you very very much for your helpful reply. Actually, I am quite serious to the blogging world and I will consider getting a .com domain very soon! My question is, do you think that I should start a completely new blog on a different niche and wait until Google indexes it? Weight loss is a competitive niche as many of you said and I am a newbie at blogging & Adsense.
