I was wondering if it was possible to get a search engine suggestion removed? From what I understand I do not think it is possible since its based on the number of times a person searched the term. So for example, I search digital point, then a bunch of other suggestions come up, can I some how have those removed? Next question, how many searches of that "term/word" does it take for that suggestion to show up on google?
If you want to prevent any other suggestions from coming up when you search on google, do the following 1. Go to google 2. At the top right hand corner of your screen click on the search settings link 3. Change your Query Suggestions to 'Do not provide query suggestions in the search box.' 4. Save your preferences and you should no longer have suggestions coming up when you search in google. Hope this helps
thanks for the reply leslie. but that is not my concern. my main concern was from what everyone else sees when they type in the term/word and the suggestion shows up on their computer. if you goto google.com, and type in digital point, you will get like digital point market place, digital point tools..etc etc...how can i have it removed publicly??
I don't quite get what you're trying to impose here.. Why remove all suggested results if you're searching ALL that can relate to digital point? How about being a little more specific with the keywords that you want to search?

I guess you are asking about removing suggestion for your site. You need to contact Google for that. If you are talking about removing the suggestions totally from Google, then I guess that's not gonna happen.

Search suggestion is one of the help features in searching especially for big SE like Google. Means this is an application already running on Google and no one from outside Google can remove or disable it.
Actually search engine's results come out based on your query string. and it mater the words you are using in your string and the software shows the data from the database stored there, where the search string words are found in the database. When you type digital point, it shows the results where the word digital point is found in the pre-stored database and it can not be changed, it can be personalized for your searches but can be changed. It you want to search the perfect words you are searching, then you need to type your search words in the double quotes as "Digital Point", then it will shows you the exact word found on various places as "Digital Point". But can't stop to show another results showing, coz query is generated on the words found in the string and it matches your words in the database and shows you the results, where your search words are found on any site or place.
