So a few weeks ago I was 2nd page and was wishing to come first place for the terms " Toronto Airport Limo" so I changed my Title to "Toronto Airport Limo - Parkview Limo - Toronto LImo " from " parkview Limo - Toronto Airport limo - Toronto Limo" and now all of a sudden Im on the third page. I have supplied my website to many directories and Link Exchanges with my Original Title " Parkview Limo - Toronto Airport limo - Toronto Limo" , I was Wondering Does that Make a Differnce. Putting me at 3rd Page Please Advise me.
yes ofcorce the link anchor that u have submitted to directories and the same anchor in the title will give rank for that only the title can not get you on top page many factors effect the rank of the page for any keyword
actually Google's PR is a strange thing in a way but you problem is evident...Submitting to other directories you increase your PR...
First word of your title and anchor text of links will help to get high rankings for the particular keyword.
changing Title is probably the last thing you want to do for a ranking page as most often, it looses it ranking (though it again comes back later). It doesn't look competitive keyword anyway so get few links and u will be there. Instead of changing titles. try to work on keyword density and backlinks as changing title Resets the Counter.
Sometimes when you make changes a page will temporarily drop in rankings or disappear while Google recalibrates itself to the change. You can wait and in the meantime collect a few more targeted anchor text to your site.
