Google Search Engine Question

    Hello,

I have a webpage on google and I finally made it into the top 10 of my targeted keywords. The thing I find bizarre is, I'll search by these keywords and in one search I'm in the top 10. If I search for it again using the same keywords, I'm then in 73rd place on google.

Why does this happen? One minute my website is in the top 10 and then hours later, in 70th place. The next day I look, it's in the top 10 again...

Depends what data centers you hit on when you search and Google is always dancing so your SERPS will fluctuate.

It's not the "everyday" happening, but it is not abnormal. I had a very competitive keyword on the top half of Google's first page for a while. Then it dropped precipitously out of the top 100 for a few weeks. Today it jumped from that obscurity back to #33. So be encouraged. It's not the norm for every keyword, but it does happen. Hopefully, you'll solidify that first page position after the fluctuations work themselves out. Best wishes.

Stable SERPs may take time and works.

    BTW
It also shows Google is still alive.

Your site will move around for awhile untill you get more links. Everyone has a site that seems to move around unless they have alot of links and pr. The more links you get and pr the less it will move around.

If you want a stable position in search results, then you will need to build lot of backlinks.

Different datacenters hold different positions for any site. If you try to match your competition's links quality and number you will start seeing more stable positions.

It's very difficult to maintain a top 10 position for a popular search term,
because all of your competitors are competing for the #1 position.
