Google search engine on your page?

Does anyone know if putting a google search engine on your page helps your site in any way as far as the google search engine goes? I mean, do you get extra points or anything for having it there.

It's a handy little thing to have around but hardly necissary but I'd keep it (it's off at the moment) if I thought it was helping our rankings in some way.

    Thanks

No. It's not going to help your rankings.

There. Correct advice. I suggest using custom search rather than Google search on your web page.
