Google Search console showing weird backlink results

    Hi all,
    Recently i used to check my google search console and find that its showing weird results.
    One day its shows 100 links few days back its shows 120 backlinks and later its showing 0 backlinks to my websites
    Can someone help me with as i have no idea about this issue, thanks in advance

    Apparently Google started in January to delist sites, not indexing sitemaps (the latter happened for one of my sites).
    I think backlinks will not stay forever in google search console anyway, google delete old ones expecting new backlinks to show up.

    Google Search Console is not a great source for determining backlinks. Many years ago, they did show all the links, but I personally don't concern myself with their results.

    A hundred external sites seems like a lot, but considering the fact that tens if not hundreds of thousands of sites get demoted, delisted, unindexed at any given moment you should not be surprised when you notice a wild fluctuation like you're describing.

    This is strange, may be a bug from search console. Did you try checking links in other backlinks tools?

    yeah other tools are showing backlinks but not in search console
