How can I choose which google servers to do a search on. I am currently in the Dominican republic. When I type google.com into the URL it redirects me to google.com.do

is there a way to stop this from happening?

When I do that I get redirected to www.google.com.do

They seem to want to direct you to different servers based on the IP of the ISP you are using

you could try google toolbar and should be able to set a default location in there for it's built in search bar.

also on www.google.com.do there should be a link to search google in english that should take you to google.com and set a cookie not to redirect you ? http://www.google.com/ncr
