Google Search back links results question

Hi,

I am confused about the results that Google gives me when I search for my back links:-

Even though I have a PR of 3 I get varying results depending on what I do:-

links:sitename.com 0 links

links: sitename.com it says Results 1 - 10 of about 763 but when I go to view each link in the browser it finishes at 51 - 52 of 52.

How many back links is Google crediting me for?

Hi Mahacan, i understand that bit, I just dont get why links: no space does not show up links and in Google Analytics it says I have over 1,000

 

It's been for some time now and google seems limiting the information about site links and indexed.

link:www.sitename.com

it works here

 

During a period of three years I have submitted about 100 articles to various articles. Despite G listing more than 12,000 of urls of my articles found on numerous websites when I searched for "by my full name", none are counted as incoming links when I googled "link:mysite". I wonder why.

 

I use backlinkwatch.com to check all my backlinks. Google only show a part of your total backlinks.

I suggest you use google webmaster tools to check for backlinks as the link operator only show a sample of backlinks.

 

I agree with supercops,
to see your backlinks in google just do link: www.domain.com

 

Google never show all index and links in their public search results, better use webmaster tools.
