Google Search API - Are the results via API different from what they show at their website?

    Google Search API is deprecated, how ever, there is a way to use their custom search API for getting results from entire web though there is a limit and we have to pay them.

    I want to know if results obtained using the API are not same as what they show in browser(normal web search) when we search for same keyword, this was the case with older API but can some one please tell me if there is difference b/w API & web results if we use custom search api?

    Does it have an option to perform searches on Google.co.uk, co.in etc via this API?

    Answers, pointers, links etc to two of these question is much appreciated, Thanks!
