Did anyone notice a small change in the Google Algo a week or so back? It seems like it effects blogroll links or maybe the location of a link.

We had sites going up and down... did anyone else notice this??? Any thoughts on what tweak occurred???

Probably just a big ranking update - this usually occurrs after the PR update (which was on 1st of April so this would make sense). Gogle is tweaking it algo all the time - often trials stuff out on weekends.

Google algo is always changing. I don't see any major change as for now.

But yes rankings have updated which usually does happen after every backlink update.

I've read that people are speculating that the tweak last week and the associated Toolbar PR roll out reduced the weight of forum links, directory links, blog links, etc. What I saw was my sites that don't rely on those type of links go up in the SERPs and up in PR. The sites that have a lot of forum or directory links dropped a bit. So it's consistent with what other people are speculating from their experience.
