Kids in school today have it sooooo easy. No musty libraries with a nonsensical numbering system and then the 1 copy of the book they had was already checked out. Just go online and find it.
How long before it gets to a pr9 or 10 then the little chaps will be selling text links and making a fortune.
It wouold have been so nice to be able to focus on the content rather than the mechanics of hand searching. Ever notice how the journals you needed were always at the bindery?
What a great service. I've never seen so much useful information in one place... That is the anwser to my prayers...
I punched in a few keywords and didn't see any real different results ... although the ones I tried weren't that "scholarly" ... but even that "useful information" link above looks exactly the same if you use www.google.com
I read somewhere earlier this year that new students at colleges were turning to search engines for different topics of study and research before the libraries...but that the school libraries had better organized systems of information about academic subjects. I can believe that considering google serps and how sites move to the top. This may be a very relevant filter that works to correct that...though I haven't looked at it. Dave
