Google says that there is no update in last 15-20 days but the chatters are asking that they saw many changes in there ranking in last 15 days.

    What you said guys ?

    Is Google is telling lie?

Google is openly saying that they do more than 500 Updates in a year so its 1 or 2 updates every single day.

Well, I don't think Google has rolled out any major update in last 15-20 days and I think what you are talking about is the fluctuation in the rankings which can be considered as normal.

Yes Some websites got hit badly SERp's shifted from page 2 to page 10. But officially there is no announcement, even in webmastertools (manual action, etc), what kind of update is this? I don't think so it can be called as just fluctuations. Anybody got hit by Google?

I don't think google has update his algorithm since last few days. But I think Google working on some serious search algorithm. Matt cutts already says that, his team was working on softer panda updates.

Personally too many people are too worried about Google updates and in turn try all kinds of things to circumvent their algorithm.
I've just been true to what works.
    1. content
    2. sites linking in
    3. did I mention content?
That's pretty much it and it isn't that hard.

Any tips from webmasters to know the reason behind this hit? Why so much shift in SERP's then?

Yes its officially confirmed its due to the Google panda 4.0 update. Many webmasters have seen huge variations in their SERP's and small businesses gained top visibility due to the content on their website.
