Google says MSN is better at search

No, this is not some crazy quote from a Eric Schmidt, this is just a funny observation:

I was looking for a simple search button graphic for a web app I'm working on. I typed in 'search' in google, planning to go to image results.

But it was quite funny when the actual search result appeared. For the term 'search', Google is actually #2, they give the #1 spot to MSN Search!!!

Probably because the title is "MSN Search" and the subdomain is search.msn.com.

 

Well look at the keyword "Web Search" Google isn't even on the first page.

Well, if someone already goes to Google to search for "search", I don't think that Google really cares whether or not Google comes up on top since you are already searching Google. You get my point???

google are obviously targetting the wrong keywords

@nithiphat: search.com is ranked first on msn search, showing how much emphasis msn places on domain name.

 

i think too. This is important for google algorithm

 

i think it shows , msn has good optimizing better than the google . that's all

 

msn 3 char sort domain so it ranks better i guss.

 

I'm not sure the 3 char domain really makes a difference...

Besides, you'd think that Google would override the algorithm with this one, make sure they're at the top!

Obviously google is being paid, it needs money to fund things and msn is helping them. Also remember msn owns a share of google stock.
