There are believers an non believers, but here goes.

    4 sites released same day.

Site 1 - has had domain online for 6+ months with page holder, spend day a day or two building links for new site.

Site 2 - new domain, spend day a day or two building links for new site (same as above).

Site 3 - new domain, linked to 2 or 3 other domains (which 1 and 2 are also linked in) I have no link building for new site.

Site 4 - new domain, linked to 2 or 3 other domains (which 1 and 2 are also linked in) I have no link building for new site.

Site 2 seems to have disappeared from results after an initial promising week or two with positions.

Site 3 and 4 are starting to rate really well and Site 1 is not doing that much at all.

Ok all are slightly different target keywords with differences in competition.

What I am seeing, is good to get your domains up asap but also do not push into SEO from the start, it maybe better to wait abit and grow the sites slowly to avoid the sandbox.

I know there are some variables here but interested in comments, on experiences around sandbox.
