has anyone seen reports which have lately been posted about a possible sandbox for links from Google? I have seen some but cannot find them.
I want to add those on my search engine blog .

Why not write your own reports, Its not like the reports people write are more correct then what you have researched

The effectiveness of the linking co-op seems to disprove this theory.

    Mike,

Can you provide a little more detail about the premise of your question?

    Mike,

Actually I agree with the author.

One of the problems with the coop is that you can apply a small amount of weight to an ad and it gets 10,000 impressions per day for some period of time because its assigned to a high traffic site (which usually means a lot of crawler activity). Then you can have a huge amount of weight applied to an ad and it gets 100 impressions a day because it's put on a low-traffic site. . . that is until the next day when its reassigned to a high traffic site and then the impressions sky-rocket.

While the coop is good for advertising the backlink value seems to be headed to neutral for google and fast becoming neutral for MSN. I use "neutral" because there doesn't seem to be any penalties associated with swings but the impact of the transient nature of backlinks seems to be diminishing everyday.

But either way, thanks for posting the link! Very interesting read.
